True Blood Season 7 episode 6 recap Karma makes Sookie sentence another love to die

The race to whether or not Sookie and Bill can find true love with one another by the end of "True Blood's" run was accelerated in Season 7 episode 6 Karma. It turns out that not only is Bill infected with Hep-V, but Sookie was the one who infected him. To make matters worse, her fairy blood is causing the disease to spread inside him at a rapid rate, thus leading to a quicker death.

But since it would be too tragic to lose both Eric and Bill to Hep-V by the end of True Blood Season 7 Karma also revealed the cure for the fatal disease: Sarah Newlin. Yes, the lovely Miss Sarah Newlin is the antidote for the same disease she concocted that has infected the entire world's population. What's that saying about karma being the B-word, again? Now the question is whether or not Sarah will be able to serve as a cure for the vampire and human populations fast enough to save Bill. Hopefully we aren't alone in hoping that the three people who learned Sarah is the antidote at the end of "Karma" -- Eric, Pam and Mr. Gus Jr., the North American president of the Yakamoto Corporation team up to bottle her blood and ship it around the world, leaving her die. That's certainly the karma she deserves for wreaking this havoc upon the world.

But while True Blood can be cruel, it's not that cruel. Instead, the karma in this situation is likely going to be that Eric and Gus can't kill Sarah because she's going to save them all. With that being anticipated, there still had better not be any redemption for her by series' end. As much as we love Anna Camp, her character is a cockroach that needs to be stomped out.

While last week's Return To Oz was a high point in the characterizations of True Blood's ensemble, Karma stumbled and fell in that department. From Adilyn and Wade's sexual awakening to Lettie Mae and Lafayette's joint V trip to Tara to Violet's revenge-filled "breakup" with Jason, all the ancillary storylines fell flat after reaching such a high point last week. At least we can say we called Nicole wanting to peace out of Bon Temps, and reiterate that we hope Sam follows behind her.

There are only four episodes left for True Blood to tie up all of its loose ends, and chances are there will still be a couple messy resolutions amid many clean ones. With the arrival of a cure so soon after Bill's diagnosis, we expect he and Sookie will get some sort of happy ending, even if it's not an ever after sort of one.

Looking Up for the final season of True Blood

The end is near! I’m sure most of the true blood fans are always seating in front of their television just to catch up every single episode of true blood season 7. In this last season of the series the story will focus what will happen to the vampires and so is Sookie. It is just sad that some of the characters in the final season will say goodbye to us one of it is Tara. She is an exciting character since she showed up in the series.

In the final season of the series is hardly to predict since they are focusing in the major characters but somehow I am really hoping that Eric is back after the heart breaking season 6 finale in the top of ice mountain burned naked. I am sure Eric is not dead just because he is one of the major characters in the series hoping for him a great comeback. So far in "True Blood" season 7, the show does seem to be setting up for a Bill and Sookie endgame, with flashbacks to the first season when Sookie was infatuated with the mysterious Bill. There have also been many flashbacks that show Bill Compton with his human family, painting Bill in a sympathetic light. But maybe that would be too obvious and the show is deliberately misleading us to pull the rug from under us in the show's final moments.

The second option of an Eric and Sookie ending seems to be slipping away as well. In the "True Blood" season 7 premiere, Pam is searching for Eric after he was last seen burning up atop a snowy mountain. When Pam finally finds her maker, we're shocked to discover that the great Eric Northman has contracted the Hep V virus, as evidenced by the dark, protruding veins on his chest.

In "Fire in the Hole" we discover that Eric has lost the will to live after the true deaths of his maker Godric and sister Nora. The episode also confirmed the off-camera true death of Tara Thornton in the opening scene of the "True Blood" season 7 premiere, as Pam tells Eric her progeny was killed but he's unsympathetic. This has led him to act recklessly and in turn contract the Hep V virus. Pam tells him that infected vampires with an abundant supply of blood have been living longer and perhaps a cure will soon be found.

Eric's apathy and his reminiscing of a former human love Sylvie, makes an Eric and Sookie ending seem highly unlikely. But he does find renewed purpose when Pam informs him that Sarah Newlin, who is responsible for killing Nora, is still alive somewhere. Who knows, maybe a cure will be found for Hep V but in the meantime an Eric and Sookie ending seems to have sailed.

Of course, another option for Sookie will be that she ends up with no one at all, which is what Anna Paquin seems to think, according to her real life husband Stephen Moyer. "She would probably say, 'Sookie should go off and become a barwoman in New York'". Sookie would probably fit in better in a big city but she's remained committed to staying in Bon Temps so far.

True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 Fire in the Hole Summary and Preview

In an attempt to find the kidnapped Bon Temps residents, Sookie, Alcide, Andy, Sam and Jason head to a neighboring town. There they discover that Hep-V vampires have cleared out the entire population, and that everyone who lived there is either dead or taken to be later fed on. The best moment of the episode comes when Sookie finds a diary of a girl who fell in love with a vampire just like she did with Bill. That girl's story ended poorly, so the question is whether Sookie's is fated to end the same way.

Alcide gives Sookie an out, offering to just drive away from Bon Temps with her and leave all the madness behind them. But this isn't the story of Sookie and Alcide, and she can't bring herself to leave. As much as she may love him, it's Bill she turns to for help at the end of the episode, and it's Bill and Sookie's story that's being told.

Meanwhile, Tara's storyline doesn't seem to be as over as it at first appeared when she died in the premiere. Turns out Lettie Mae actually is having weird V-induced Tara visions, and it sounds like Tara is trying to tell her something, though it's impossible to make out what she is saying. At least Rutina Wesley has something more to do this season than fight for a half a second like she did in last episode.

The fates of our favorite vampires aren't looking too bright. Something strange has happened with Jessica's arm, and it didn't heal after she bit it to give Adalind some of her blood. Then there's Eric, whose location is finally revealed at the end of the episode when Pam finds him. As it turns out, he somehow got infected with Hep-V. Could the disease be spreading to every vampire? Does that mean all hope is lost for them as a spcies?

That's something the citizens of Bon Temps should be happy about, as apparently they all have gathered together to fight the Hep-V vamps on their own terms while their law enforcement is off doing their jobs. It still is frustrating to watch them all act like such mindless masses, and "I Found You" ends up humanizing the Hep-V vamps more than the townsfolk. The social commentary seems to be that the people leading a witch hunt are worse than those who are being hunted, but the statement the show is trying to make hinges on where this storyline leads.

Also we'd be remiss without mentioning the jaw-dropping opening scene from this episode, which finally saw a payoff for Jason drinking Eric's blood. Fans desperate for some Jason-on-Eric sex, you finally got what you were asking for. True to the end, right? In the next episode of True blood season 7 episode 3 entitled Fire in the Hole, Sookie hatches a dangerous plan to take down the H-Vamps, even as Vince and his armed vigilantes pose an equally serious threat. Holly uses a last resource.Lafayette gets high with James; Jason eyes a family future with Violet; Willa is forced to find a new place to stay; Sarah Newlin sheds her past. Pam offers Eric a compelling reason to return to Louisiana – and be the vampire he used to be.
